The original intended opening credits for the movie, The WIcker Man (1973), were abandoned. Here is my interpretation of what they might have been. This is only a rough draft without the full credits. I'd love to see someone do a better job of this.
From Allan Brown's ebook:
"The credits are shown over a nest of serpents which at the start are dormant. Gradually, as the credits proceed they wake up and start to writhe together. Their excitement mounts, until they are in a considerable frenzy. By the time the credits are completed, the snakes have generated a great quantity of yellowish froth which lies all over their bodies, entangling them."
The colors should go from white to yellow to brown to blue. Sorry, you'll have to Imagine them... (And after that, you'd also have to imagine the fade and pan up from the dirty Ullwater harbor to the opening shots, and mainland scenes [closing down the pub, the prostitute and others], which were also abandoned...)
